Get in Touch
We are always looking to improve YouThumb. Whether you found a bug, have a feature request, want to partner with us, or just want to say hello, we would love to hear from you.
Email Support
For technical issues, partnership inquiries, press, or general questions, email us at:
You do not need an account to contact us — just send an email from any address and we will reply to it.
Reporting a Bug
To help us fix problems quickly, please include the following in your message:
- The YouTube URL that caused the problem (if the issue is with a specific video).
- Your device and browser (for example, “iPhone, Safari” or “Windows 11, Chrome”).
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
- A screenshot, if possible — it often tells us more than a paragraph.
What Happens After You Write
Every message lands directly with the people who build and maintain YouThumb — there is no outsourced support queue. Bug reports go straight into our issue tracker, feature ideas into the roadmap document, and partnership inquiries to the right person. If we need more detail to reproduce a problem, we will reply with specific questions rather than a generic form letter.
Feature Requests
Many of YouThumb’s best touches — Shorts support, the quality selector, the recent-history panel, and the four-language interface — started as user suggestions. If there is a link format we don’t recognize, a quality option you need, or a workflow we could shorten, tell us how you work and we will consider it for the roadmap. The most useful requests describe the problem ("I download fifty thumbnails a day for client mockups and...") rather than prescribing the solution; that gives us room to design the best fix.
Response Time
YouThumb is operated by a small, dedicated team, so please allow up to 48 hours for a response. We read every single email and do our best to resolve issues promptly.
Copyright and Takedown Notices
YouThumb acts purely as a viewing and extraction tool for publicly available YouTube metadata — we do not host any images on our servers; every thumbnail is served directly by Google/YouTube. If you believe your copyrighted work is being accessed inappropriately, you must file a DMCA takedown with YouTube directly. Once content is removed from YouTube, it automatically stops resolving through YouThumb as well.
Before You Write: Quick Answers
- Is YouThumb really free? Yes — every feature is free, with no accounts and no usage limits.
- Do you store my URLs? No. Your recent history lives only in your own browser’s local storage.
- Can I suggest a language? Absolutely — tell us which language you need and we will add it to the request list.
